Q. Are appointments required?
Appointments are always preferred to ensure that we can give you our full attention. But, we know that not everyone likes the fuss of a formal appointment; therefore, we do accept walk-ins. However, if you would like to try on dresses, we do require you to work with one of our stylists. We also offer private appointments.
Q. How long are appointment times?
We allot 1 hour for your bridal appointment. Because we are a boutique store, all gowns are out for browsing, and we have found one hour is the perfect amount of time to select up to 6 favorites to try on without feeling rushed. Of course, if you feel you need more time we are always happy to schedule a return visit.
Q. How should I prepare for my appointment?
Take some time to look through magazines and websites so you have a general idea of what you prefer in a wedding dress. This will help us get started in the selection process, although your stylist may also have some recommendations that you will love. It is helpful to bring undergarments of similar styles that you will wear on your wedding day, including strapless bras and nude seamless underwear. We also recommend wearing minimal to no makeup. It is encouraged to eat before or after your visit with us as we do not allow food in our boutique.
Q. Who should I bring with me to my appointment?
We are a cozy little boutique with limited seating so we recommend bringing 1-3 family members or friends whose opinions you value most. Wedding dress shopping is SO fun, but it can get overwhelming and stressful when a bride is considering the opinions of many people. We believe that every bride deserves a wonderful wedding dress shopping experience. To ensure the best experience possible for every bride, we kindly ask that large groups over 5 guests, and unsupervised children, do not accompany you to our boutique. Of course we realize there can be special circumstances - please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q. How far in advance of my wedding should I shop for my wedding dress?
We recommend shopping for your wedding dress soon after you choose your wedding date and venue. Dresses can take up to 4-6 months to produce, since it is being made to order. After shipping and alterations, it could be a 6 month process. We suggest deciding on a dress 6-9 months prior to your wedding date, so you have time for fittings and accessorizing. Some designers we work with do offer RUSH orders, but these carry additional fees.
Q. What size are your gowns?
Since we are a smaller boutique, we only stock approx. 50 different sample dresses at one time. Our sample dresses are available in a variety of sizes, from 6 to 20. We believe that every bride should feel comfortable and have many beautiful options to try on when she's shopping for her wedding dress. Sample gowns will rarely be a perfect fit, but our stylists are experts at giving you a great idea of how the gown will fit when it's made in your own size.
Q. DO YOU PROVIDE ALTERATIONS?
Alterations to dresses are not included with your order. While we do not offer in house alterations, we know some of the most respected individuals in our area that do offer these services.
Q. What if I need to cancel my appointment?
No problem, life happens! We do kindly ask that you provide 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or re-schedule as we are a small boutique and can only see a limited number of brides in a day.
